A pneumatic dead weight tester is a device used to measure the pressure of a gas or liquid. It consists of a piston connected to a weight, which is suspended by a spring. The pressure of the gas or liquid is then measured by measuring the force needed to balance the weight against the pressure of the gas or liquid.

BGP1
15 to 1000 mbar / 1.5 to 100 kPa
The BGP1 has a 1/2in2 high chrome steel piston/cylinder unit. The design has been proven over many years to provide excellent sensitivity and stability. Low start pressure is achieved through use of a hollow piston and aluminium head.

BGP7
0.1 to 7 bar / 10 to 700 kPa
The BGP7 has a 0.5in2 high chrome steel piston/cylinder unit which operates on pure Gas. The design has been proven over many years to achieve the necessary sensitivity whilst
remaining robust enough for heavy industrial use.

BGP25
0.2 to 25 bar / 20 to 2500 kPa
The BGP25 has a 1/8in2 tungsten carbide piston/cylinder unit which combined with an overhung austenitic mass set to produce a range of 0.2 to 25 bar. The free deformation psiton makes the unit good for high accuracy measurement.

BGP120
1 to 120 bar / 100 to 12000 kPa
The BGP120 is an oil lubricated gas operated piston cylinder unit. If required an inert fluid (such as Fomblin) can be used instead of the oil to provide lubrication without contamination of Gas with hydrocarbon vapour.
