Mass Flow measurement at a comparatively low cost can be achieved using the Model 405L and 414L instruments, an RTD temperature sensor and a volumetric flowmeter such as a turbine or positive displacement meter.

Volume correction to 15°C or 60°F for petroleum products is also possible. Petroleum tables and equations that comply with API/ASTM standards for metric and US units are included in both instruments.

With additional features such as a 10 point non-linearity correction and quadrature pulse input, the Models 405L and 414L are ideally suited to the precise measurement of flow, as required in custody transfer applications.

415 Steam and Gas Flow Computer

Flow Computers

The 415 Steam and Gas Flow Computer incorporates the following compensation equations for gas and vapours:

Ideal Gas Law using temperature and pressure correction, but where compressibility correction is not required.

General Gases where compressibility is calculated using the Redlich-Kwong¹ state equation. This equation is suitable for gases which have known properties, and information on common industrial gases is provided in the operating manual.

Natural Gas using the NX-19² equation to calculate super compressibility.

Steam Equations for both saturated and superheated steam. Mass and energy flow rates are calculated using standard equations to determine the specific weight and enthalpy of steam.

414 Batch Controller

The 414 Batch Controller is suited to flow applications where precise measurement and control of batch quantities is required. Batch total, flow rate, accumulated total and preset value can all be displayed in engineering units on the large LCD display.

The 414 will interface to most flowmeters with versions available for pulse and analog inputs. Based on previous batches, the 414 will automatically compensate for any overrun which may be caused by slow closing valves.

405 Flow Computer

Flow Computers

The 405 Flow Computer can handle a wide range of flow applications, where high accuracy and flexibility are required.

It will interface to most flowmeters and versions are available for pulse and analog inputs.

Either the Flow Rate or a Resettable Total can be continuously displayed in engineering units on the large six digit LCD display.

A non-resettable Accumulated Total is also displayed whenever the DISPLAY key is pressed.

A scaled pulse output, suitable for driving remote totalisers is a standard feature and the instrument also provides an 8-24 Volts dc power supply for driving transducers.

220 Level Monitor

Level and Contents

The Model 220 Level Monitor accepts a 4-20mA signal from a wide range of level sensors, including pressure transmitters, ultrasonic sensors or capacitance probes, and displays both level and tank contents on a large LCD display.

Solid state relay outputs provide up to four level alarms and a 25 point non-linearity correction table allows the instrument to be programmed to fit most tanks.The Level Monitor is powered entirely from the 4-20mA current loop and, therefore, requires no external power or batteries.

The instrument is fully programmable with setup parameters such as span, offset, alarm levels, etc, stored in a non-volatile memory which will retain all data for more than 10 years without power.

The Model 220 is housed in an attractive IP67 (Nema 4X) polycarbonate enclosure which is completely watertight.A wall mounting bracket is supplied as standard, while a 2″ pipe mounting bracket is available as an option.Alternatively, the Model 220 can be supplied as a panel mount instrument.


214D Batch Controller

Batch Controllers

The Model 214D Batch Controller is designed for flow applications where the precise control of batch quantities is required.

Batch Total, Accumulated Total and Preset values can all be displayed on the large LCD display.

For hazardous area applications, the 214Di is an intrinsically safe version with both ATEX approval, and CSA approval covering both the USA and Canada.

The 214D has an input conditioning circuit which will accept pulse or frequency flow signals generated by turbine, positive displacement, paddlewheel or other flowmeters.

Configurable link positions enable the input circuit to be configured for the different signal types.


212 Heat Calculator

Flow Computers

The 212 Heat Calculator is designed to measure the energy consumed in hot water heating systems and chilled water cooling systems.

The 212 is supplied complete with temperature probes and will interface with a wide range of flowmeters, including positive displacement and inferential water meters, magnetic flowmeters with pulse outputs, turbine and paddle wheel flowmeters.


The 210 Loop Powered Indicator

General

Overview

The 210 Loop Powered Indicator measures the current of a 4-20mA loop and provides a digital display of the process variable directly in engineering units. The indicator is powered by the 4-20mA loop and requires no external power.

Two potentiometers inside the instrument enable the Span and Zero to be scaled and a DIP switch enables the decimal point position to be selected.

Field mounting by design

The 210 indicator is fully watertight to IP67 (Nema 4X) standards. It is designed for field mounting with a wall mount bracket supplied as standard. A pipe mount bracket is optionally available.

For use in hazardous areas the Model 210i is ATEX certified, and CSAUS/C certified for both the USA & Canada.

Large LCD for easy reading

The 210 incorporates a large, easily read, 4 1/2 digit display. The measurement resolution is 3 1/2 digits and a trailing “0” can be switch selected for applications requiring 4 1/2 digits.

Each indicator is supplied with a sheet of self-adhesive engineering unit labels. A recess, adjacent to the display, is provided for the correct label to be placed. Applications include the display of flow rate, temperature, pressure and a wide range of other signals transmitted over a 4-20mA interface.

Field Mounted Rate Totaliser Model 202D

Rate Totalisers

 Overview

The Field Mounted Rate Totaliser Model 202D requires no external power and is designed to operate with turbine, positive displacement and paddlewheel flowmeters in applications such as irrigation systems and pipelines, and as a replacement for mechanical registers.

Battery, Loop or DC powered

The standard 202D is powered by long-life lithium batteries. Alternatively, the 202D can be loop powered via an optional 4-20mA output, or powered from a 9-28 Volts DC supply. For installation in hazardous areas a certified intrinsically safe version is available. The intrinsic safety approvals cover both the 4-20mA output and relay outputs, in addition to the input circuits.

Watertight field mounting enclosure

The 202D Rate Totaliser is housed in a rugged yet attractive IP67 (Nema 4X) rated polycarbonate enclosure which is completely watertight. This enables the instrument to be mounted directly on the flowmeter, panel mounted or wall mounted using a special universal bracket. A 2″ pipe mounting bracket is also available.

Fully user programmable

K-factor, decimal point positions, filter constants and time base are fully user programmable. Rate and Totals can also be displayed in different engineering units such as gallons per minute and barrels.

202A Loop Powered Rate Totaliser

Overview

The 202A Loop Powered Rate Totaliser is designed to operate with any flowmeter which produces a 4-20mA output, including differential pressure devices, magnetic or vortex flowmeters. The 202A is powered entirely from the 4-20mA current loop and has a maximum of 2.5 volts drop across the input. The Rate Totaliser is fully programmable with linear or square law input relationships, programmable span, cutoffs and conversion factors. A non-volatile memory stores all set up parameters and totals without the need for internal batteries or external power.High and low alarms are standard via optically isolated solid state relay outputs. Alternatively, the high alarm output can be programmed to provide a scaled pulse output proportional to the total.

Watertight enclosure

The 202A Rate Totaliser is housed in a rugged, yet attractive, IP67 (Nema 4X) polycarbonate enclosure which is completely watertight. A wall mounting bracket is supplied as standard, while a 2″ pipe mounting bracket is available as an option. Alternatively, the Model 202A can be supplied as a panel mount instrument.

The Model 202A is certified as intrinsically safe to European CENELEC standards, and CSA standards for both the USA and Canada.
